Designing your buttons

Design Your Own - It's easy to design your own buttons if you have access to a compuer. Many of today's computers have programs on them already that will let you prepare your button design. The important thing to remember is that buttons are round. Your design should fit inside a circle slightly smaller than the size button you want to make.

The three typical sizes of buttons include the popular 2 1/4 inch, 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch. Keep your design in a circle about 1/4 inch smaller than the size button you want to make.

You will also want to have a cutting circle drawn around your design. The cutting circle should be printed. You should not print a circle around your design.

Curving your type around the outside of your image area looks nice, but it makes it more difficult to cut out your buttons because a slight error will make the button look off center.
